Hello everyone!
IMHCTC（International Mental Health Cooperation and Training Center, Taiwan）, which is supported by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MoHW), continues to undertake the “New Southbound Policy – Promoting International Psychiatric Medical and Mental Health Talent Training and Establishing an International Cooperation Platform”. The work team this year shall include Kaohsiung Municipal Kai-Syuan Psychiatric Hospital, Taipei Veterans General Hospital Yuli Branch and Yo -Chin Medical Foundation Hospital. These three institutions will work together to integrate Taiwan’s mental health care network and to cooperate with the new southbound countries’ mental health agencies through the professional knowledge exchange, introduction of excellent community mental rehabilitation models and medical management.
Students who have completed the 2024 IMHCTC online training program/courses which are prepared for the Southeast Asian mental health professionals will have the opportunity to come to Taiwan for the practical on-site training. This year, IMHCTC is scheduled to go to Indonesia and the Philippines for overseas teaching in April and June respectively, and to Malaysia for visits and exchanges in September. In addition, the seventh “New Southbound International Mental Health Cooperation and Training Center Seminar” is expected to be held on November 6, 2024. We hope to have the opportunity to invite you to come to Taiwan to participate in the annual event.
